Eve Jeffery was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1963.
From a very young age, Eve knew she wanted to be a performer – she has always sung – it's her happy place.
Eve was in her first amateur theatre production at fourteen and by the age of fifteen, she was teaching primary school-age children at the local drama school.
For the next four years, she studied Drama, Dance and Singing and performed in local bands and amateur theatre troupes in the Melbourne area, including the Brighton Repertory Theatre and Beaumaris Players, where she played Corie Bratter in 'Barefoot in the Park'. She worked as an extra on 'All The Rivers Run' and in several Crawford Productions including 'Cop Shop' and 'Carson's Law'.
Eve did a sixteen-month traineeship at the Oxford Children's Theatre in Box Hill (musical theatre – song & dance), before her first professional performance engagement with Polyglot Puppets. PP toured several shows based on multiculturalism throughout Victoria, including a season at the Pram Factory and one at the Melbourne Zoo!
Eve moved to NorthEast Victoria and directed two musical productions with the Myrtleford Theatre Company while performing as a vocalist in a folk duo, and with the resident band Thunder Mountain at the Kinross Woolshed in Albury.
Eve had a fifteen-year break from performance while she had two children. During this time she moved to the Northern Rivers of NSW – she taught singing and was a guest in various performances of local bands, as well as returning to amateur theatre – she became the Musical Theatre teacher at the Brunswick Valley School of Dance for several years before taking a break to pursue a career in filmmaking.
In 2019 she was offered a new experience as a radio announcer/programer at BayFM in Byron Bay. She co-presented a weekly, hourly show called ‘Bursting The Bubble’. This show ran from May until December. Amongst her other commitments, Eve is a Photojournalist and Entertainment Editor for the Byron Shire Echo, and a Filmmaker, Photographer and Media Coach and Voice Coach at Cloudcatcher Media. Eve is also a Funeral Celebrant. Singing has always been Eve's first love – after years of NOT teaching, she opened Byron Bay Singing in July 2019 with a view to creating a more welcoming and less competitive environment for singers – particularly in a group setting. Though Eve can often be found singing the blues – a cappella and musical theatre are her happy places. In July 2026, Eve ventured further south and as well as her Byron Shire students, she is now the Vocal Coach at JCDANCE.
